Acupuncturists offer low-cost introductory acupuncture Dec. 18
A group of Lewes-Rehoboth acupuncturists is offering low-cost introductory treatments in a community setting to be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 18, at Rehoboth Mall.
“Many people are curious about alternative medicine but have not had the chance to try it,” says Kevin Clark, a licensed acupuncturist in Rehoboth. He also specializes in herbal medicine and completed his rotations in a Chinese hospital. “We would like to provide these people that opportunity.”
The clinic will be located at the Baron and Butler School of Massage in Rehoboth Mall (near Radio Shack). Space is limited, so those interested are encouraged to call ahead.
Those electing treatment will pay on a sliding scale from $20-30 (cash only), depending on what they can afford. “We use a sliding scale so that we can separate the issue of money from treatment,” Clark says.
Clark suggests wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. “We use a style of acupuncture that allows us to provide an effective treatment by just using points on the arms and legs,” he says.
A variety of conditions may be treated with acupuncture. Those that respond well in this type of setting include low energy, anxiety, depression and stress. People experiencing acute-type pain such as back, joint or muscle sprains or strains would also benefit.
For more details, Clark can be reached at 302-249-0143 or at kcacupuncture11@gmail.com.
