A response to Flood piece on gun control
In response to the editorial in Tuesday's Gazette by Don Flood:
At this point in time there is too much going on with our government to look clearly look at gun control. When Wayne LaPierre made that statement in 1999, we were not dealing with a totally left, liberal government that would love to take away all guns – that is anarchy. There has to be a middle ground here and as of yet it has not been laid out.
IN THE WORDS OF A COLUMBINE DAD:
Your laws ignore our deepest needs,
Your words are empty air,
You've stripped away our heritage,
You've outlawed simple prayer.
Now gunshots fill our classrooms
and our precious children die,
You seek for answers everywhere and ask the question "Why?"
You regulate restrictive laws through legislative creed,
and yet you fail to understand,
That God is what we need.
