Where is Coastal Delaware?

When most people hear “Coastal Delaware,” they think about the fabulous ocean and bay beach towns in Southern Delaware. Sussex County, also known as “lower-slower Delaware,” offers a variety of waterlovers housing options in the resort towns of Rehoboth Beach and Lewes with the nationally-known beaches, recreational activities, galleries, restaurants and more and to the south in the Quiet Resorts, Fenwick Island and Bethany Beach.

But what many people don’t realize is that there is an incredible variety of lifestyles and neighborhoods available in Sussex – just a quick trip west of Route 1.

Find wonderful historic towns and neighborhoods like Milton and Georgetown, the old-fashioned, rural Mayberry-type downtowns of Millsboro and Bridegville and the surrounding areas that run the gamut from waterfront on bays and rivers, to serene country living, to quiet neighborhoods tucked into piney woodlands. Whatever your preference is, Coastal Delaware has it!
