American Legion auxiliary proud of role

By Barbara Catts | Jan 11, 2013

With much pride and anticipation, President Joanne Stafford of Auxiliary Unit 17 and auxiliary member Carole Harbaugh, RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) liaison, attended the annual Volunteeer Appreciation Breakfast at Baywood Greens Clubhouse, Long Neck. Linda Rogers, RSVP county coordinator, presented them with a Certificate of Appreciation for 8,608 volunteer hours contributed in 2012, by 21 women of the auxiliary.

As it is recited at every auxiliary meeting, the preamble of the American Legion Auxiliary states “to inculcate a sense of individual obligation to the community, state and nation”... “to participate in and contribute to the accomplishment of the aims and purposes of the American Legion.”

We are extremely proud to serve our veterans and the community. Together, let's serve our heroes who have so bravely served us.
