Ann Draper Tikiob, known for quick wit
Ann Draper Tikiob, 84, of Rehoboth Beach, said goodbye to her family after a valiant fight with heart disease Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012. Mrs. Tikiob was born July 30, 1928, daughter of the late Frank Warner Draper and Ruth Ann Willis Draper.
Mrs. Tikiob was a member of All Saints’ Episcopal Church of Rehoboth Beach. A military wife of 22 years, she was known for her quick wit and humor. Her grandchildren affectionately called her Peach-Pie.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by two brothers, John Willis Draper and Frank Warner Draper.
She is survived by her husband Richard D. Tikiob; two sons Richard D. Tikiob Jr. and wife Leana of Rehoboth Beach, and David E. Tikiob and wife Cindy of Jarettsville, Md.; two daughters, Leslie T. Ballinger and husband Dale of Rehoboth Beach, and Sue T. Carlson and husband Richard of Woodstock, N.Y.; three sisters, Sue Whaley and husband Richard of Centreville, Md., Julia Corder and husband James of Annapolis, Md., and Jane Everette of Rehoboth Beach; a brother, Tom Draper and wife Kathy of Centreville, Md.; two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Brice and Kathy Draper, both of Centreville; and six grandchildren, Eric T. Bias, Ryan J. Carlson, Matthew Tikiob, William Tikiob, Aaron Tikiob and Natalia Tikiob.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday Oct. 26, at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 20 Olive Ave., Rehoboth B each. Friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 25, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Hwy., Lewes. Burial will follow the services at All Saints’ Cemetery, Angola.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963, or to Meals on Wheels, 32409 Lewes-Georgetown Highway, Lewes, DE 19958.
