Southern Delaware Therapeutic and Recreational Horseback Riding is preparing for its 16th Annual Beach Ride & Walk, to be held Saturday, April 6, rain or shine at Cape Henlopen State Park. This event, SDTRHR’s biggest fundraiser of the year, is a great chance to come out and enjoy a ride or walk on the beach while supporting the program.

Online registration and fundraising tools are available at www.BeachRide2013.myevent.com. The website allows registrants to sign up to Ride for the Cause and get a personal sponsor page that can be used to solicit and receive support. Those who sign up can also include a link to that personal page in emails to friends and family.

Registration is $30 for adults and $15 for children to ride or walk and enjoy a delicious lunch. Participants who pay or raise $50 will receive a commemorative T-shirt. Prizes will also be awarded for various categories, including a grand prize for the rider and group who raise the highest amounts.

SDTRHR is seeking businesses and individuals who would like to be sponsors of this year’s beach ride and walk and be rewarded for their support of SDTRHR by having their name on the commemorative Beach Ride & Walk shirts.  Information will also go on the website and  in the newsletter, and donations will be recognized in local papers.
