Attend meeting to keep quality public radio

By William F. O'Connor | Nov 08, 2012

Delmarva now faces the loss of a vital educational and cultural resource that serves all of the citizens in our area.  Programming as we know it for the FM stations WSCL (89.5) and WSDL (90.7) based at Salisbury University may be discontinued.

These two stations have contributed to the attractiveness of our community and especially for those who value the arts.  The changes being considered will reflect a considerable loss on a cultural and educational level, particularly for the children and youth in our community.  A number of solutions to this challenge are in the offing and are under consideration.

A public meeting will be held at the Lewes Public Library at 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 15, to help mobilize an effort to deal with this issue.  Please take some time to attend and help save this very precious community arts and education resource.
