Aubrey Elton Hall, Townsend retiree
Aubrey Elton Hall left us to be with the Lord Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, after a long illness in Clarksville.
On Aug. 30, 1997, he was united in marriage to Barbara A. Ayres, his longtime girlfriend for 21 years. He loved his Wheezy. The love they shared was obvious to everyone around them.
He worked for Townsend poultry plant for 23 years. He received his education in the Indian River/Cape Henlopen school districts. Aubrey loved watching football and his favorite team was the Indianapolis Colts. He also enjoyed hanging out with his boys. He loved being around his family on the holidays.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father Hester B. Harris and Frankie Parker; and one brother, William “Billy” Harris. To keep the faith and cherish his memory, Aubrey leaves his wife Barbara; three sons, Aubrey Dean (Ovon) Jernigan of Seaford, Tony (Tamera) Jernigan of Salisbury, Md. and Brian Ayres of Frankford; one brother, Keith (Cindy) Harris of Coverdale; three sisters, Patricia (Leslie) Taylor of Laurel, Sonia Johnson of Lewes, and Cheryl (Clifton) Holland of Millsboro; father, William Harris of Lewes; seven sisters-in-law, Patricia, Bonnie, Shirley, Stella, Evelyn, Pricilla and Sandra; five brothers-in-law, Larry, Charles, Leonard, Kirk and Lee. He is also survived by 10 beautiful grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 7, at Union Wesley United Methodist Church, Powell Farm Road, Frankford.
