Autism Delaware offers scholarships and stipends
Applications must be received by Jan. 31, 2013Autism Delaware recently announced that the agency’s 2013-14 scholarship and stipend applications are now available at www.autismdelaware.org.
“These scholarships and stipends support deserving individuals who are developing and honing their skills in the autism field,” said Teresa Avery, MBA, associate director at Autism Delaware. “Our goal in offering this financial support is to acknowledge the unique expertise these individuals bring to the autism community and to let them know how much we value them.”
The Autism Delaware Daniel and Lois Gray Memorial Scholarship is available to an eligible University of Delaware undergraduate or graduate student working toward a professional position in the autism community, such as a teacher, psychologist or speech pathologist.
The Autism Delaware Adult with Autism Scholarship supports an adult with an autism spectrum disorder who wants to attend college or some other postsecondary educational program.
The Autism Delaware Para-to-Educator Stipend is available to an eligible paraprofessional who, in the past year, completed his or her education to become a teacher of children with ASDs.
To be considered for an Autism Delaware scholarship or stipend, complete the application in its entirety and submit it to Autism Delaware by Jan. 31, 2013.
