Auxiliary Unit 28 junior member Samantha Cotten receives Governor's Youth Award

American Legion Auxiliary Unit 28 had several special guests at its recent meeting. Samantha Cotten, a junior member, received the news that she has been selected for the Governor's Youth Award. The awards ceremony will be held in late April.

Two members of Salem United Methodist Church, Kathy Cropper and Diana Layfield, also attended the meeting and presented the auxiliary a check in the amount of $1,200 to support programs for veterans, military and their families.
