Award-winning student photographer to exhibit at The Upper Crust starting Feb. 11
The Upper Crust at 7 East Market St. in Georgetown will present Bethany Tyndall’s first formal public exhibition starting Monday, Feb. 11. Tyndall will be showing some of her work from her hometown of Milton and the surrounding area. The exhibit will continue until mid-March.
Currently a junior honors student at Cape Henlopen High School, Tyndall was recently awarded first place in the Senior Student category in the Prime Hook National Wildlife Photography Contest. More of her work can be found in historic Milton's Paisley Moon Salon.
Tyndall's photography is the result of her taking computer art and photography courses which increased her interest in and use of various photo techniques. When school is out for the summer, she can be found scooping ice cream at Hopkins Farm Creamery or volunteering at a local animal shelter.
The Upper Crust serves made-from-scratch baked goods, fair trade organic coffee, breakfast and lunch in a casual setting. Part of The Upper Crust’s commitment to the community is to offer gallery space to local artists who might not otherwise have an opportunity to show their works. Contact Bruce at bruce@theuppercrust.info or 302-856-2300 to schedule a time to stop in with images of work for approval and to possibly schedule an exhibit date. The Upper Crust is also interested in scheduling Meet the Artist events which will be announced on the website and sent to members of its email list.
