Bayhealth Orthopaedic Surgery Milford announces the addition of two providers, orthopaedic surgeon Eileen Crawford, MD, and physician assistant Greg Sender.

The practice is part of the Bayhealth Medical Group, a partnership of highly trained physicians, their clinical staff, and an administrative support team that operates practices throughout central and southern Delaware.

A competitive rower in high school and college, Crawford brings a new dimension in sports medicine offerings to the Milford and Dover practices. The group also includes Gregory Daut, MD; Jonathan Kates, MD; Gabe Lewullis, MD; Trinity Pilkington, MD; and D. Ishu Singh, DO, MS.

Crawford will serve the general orthopaedic population with special focus on sports-related injuries and surgeries. Her interests include shoulder, knee, elbow, hip, and ankle non-operative and operative procedures. She specializes in arthroscopic surgeries for rotator cuff disorders, shoulder instability, and injuries to the knee ligaments, menisci, and cartilage. She also performs shoulder replacement surgery for arthritis.

Committed to helping people live active, healthy and fulfilling lives, Crawford stresses that she treats patients no matter their athletic ability. A Delaware native, she is fully immersing herself back into the community, serving as the new team medical provider for Milford High School. She shares the role with Lewullis. The two will be on the sidelines during the 2014-15 school year providing preventative care. When an injury occurs, they will be on the field or court quickly assessing the athlete.

Supporting Crawford and the group’s other orthopaedic surgeons in the Milford location is physician assistant Greg Sender. He recently joined Bayhealth after serving as a PA in the community since the early 2000s. Well respected for providing a high level of care, Sender will complement Crawford.

“There will be constant collaboration that happens between the two of us,” says Crawford. “We will both have a firm understanding of what is going on with our patients - all to their benefit.”

Bayhealth Orthopaedic Surgery is accepting new patients in the Dover, Milford and Smyrna locations. To make an appointment, call 302-730-4366.
