Beaufait and Reardon would serve Lewes well
I am writing in support of two candidates who are running for positions on the Lewes City Council: Fred Beaufait and Dennis Reardon. I do not support candidates without solid evidence of their abilities and performance, and I would briefly like to give my rationale for endorsing these two individuals.
I served with Fred on the HOA of our community, Pilottown Village, and learned firsthand Fred’s decision making, management and team building skills. Over the past two years on City Council he has continued to exhibit and apply those qualities and abilities that help make our city government effective and efficient. Fred has been responsive to our inquiries and concerns and I can only posit that Fred will continue to be an even more effective member of Lewes City Council over the next two years.
Dennis Reardon is no stranger to our community or to me personally. Dennis has relatives and many friends who reside in our community and knows our little part of Lewes quite well. I had the pleasure of meeting Dennis a few years ago when he ran for City Council. Since then I have come to know the man and to appreciate his skills and abilities. He too is a decision maker, team player, collects and analyzes facts objectively and makes his decisions based on a macro view that benefits the entire city. He is approachable and an excellent listener. I contend you could do no better than adding Dennis Reardon’s talents to the Lewes City Council.
In closing I would just like to make a point about our beloved city. Lewes is comprised of many neighborhoods and districts, all of which have unique concerns and objectives. While some may not agree on each and every issue, we all have a unifying goal: keep Lewes as beautiful, friendly, historic, quaint, diverse, and maintain our way of life with managed change that helps us attain our common goal. So you see, there is more to bind us together than to unravel us. Those who came before and those who now manage our city, have created and fostered an environment that drew many of us to Lewes or kept many of us here. These two gentlemen, in my opinion, will continue to preserve and protect our City through proper and effective management.
