Beebe auxiliary spring tea a success

By Ginger Snowden | Jun 10, 2013

As the honorary chairwoman of the Beebe Medical Center Auxiliary's Spring Tea, I would like to thank everyone who supported and attended the tea May 19 at Lewes Presbyterian Church. This event was planned by my co-chairs Muriel Pfeiffer and Pat Sandy, along with the Tea Committee, and I want to thank all who participated in the meetings that preceded the event.

The tables were decorated in different themes by the following: Marina Baird, Pam Coleman, Mary DeVries and Mary Jo DeVries, Marie Leister, Joan Nicholls, Muriel Pfeiffer, Sandy Prettyman, Joyce Gresco and Geri Pease, Michael Roussell, Pat Sandy, Ginger Snowden, Rosemarie Vanderhoogt, and Maynard Vedral. The tables were magnificent and enjoyed by all that attended.

A big thank you to Charlie Boehm, Kay Burgee, Chuck Gritton and Karen Gritton, Nancy Horneck and Kathy Miller, Elizabeth Pratt, Michael Roussell, Pat Sandy, Mary Ann Sterling and B. J. Young for the wonderful food.

My thanks to the Craft Group of the auxiliary, that hand made all the beautiful tea cozies for the tea pots.

A special note of thanks to Tom Wiswell, tenor saxophone; Kearney Mallon, bass; Ben Wiswell, piano; Avery Mallon, drums; for the wonderful soft jazz music played for our tea.

I also want to say a big thank you to our wonderful servers who made the event very enjoyable for all the attendees. They are: Charlie Boehm, Kay Burgee, Judith Hannan, Carol and Ed Kelly, Henrietta Belcher-Stack and Jim Stack, and B. J. Young.

In closing, I want to thank the Cape Henlopen Elks Lodge 2540 which always supports our event. We hope to see you next year Sunday, May 18.

Ginger Snowden
chairwoman, Beebe Medical Center Auxiliary Spring Tea
