Beebe expands healthcare services in Georgetown

Sep 19, 2013
Beebe Medical Center will be the anchor tenant in the nearly completed, 47,000-square-foot, two-story College Park Medical Pavilion in Georgetown, located in College Park, a new and expansive, mixed-use development at the intersection of Route 404 and Route 113 and across the street from Delaware Technical Community College.

Beebe Medical Center has announced that it is expanding into Georgetown in October to provide much needed healthcare services to the people living and working in the surrounding area.

Beebe Medical Center will be the anchor tenant in the nearly completed, 47,000-square-foot, two-story College Park Medical Pavilion, located in College Park, a new and expansive, mixed-use development at the intersection of Route 404 and Route 113 and across the street from Delaware Technical Community College. The development already houses La Red’s new and expanded medical facility and will house hotels, and retail and commercial establishments.  Other existing businesses in the adjacent area include Walmart and Hardees’ Restaurant.

“We are proud and excited to be a part of this development in Georgetown,” said Jeffrey M. Fried, president and CEO of Beebe Medical Center. “It is a well-planned development that is conveniently located for the people who live in Georgetown, and for those who live in the rural surrounding areas. Locating at this busy crossroads allows Beebe to provide important healthcare services so that people can access them without having to travel too far from home. It also will allow Beebe to provide healthcare education, outreach and disease and illness prevention screenings to improve the health of everyone living in Sussex County.”

Beebe Medical Center is leasing the ground-floor space of the Medical Pavilion and will offer the following services:

• Beebe Lab Express to include: blood specimen collection and EKG. No appointments necessary

• Beebe Imaging to include: radiology, CT, MRI, ultrasound, bone density and mammography

• Beebe Rehab Services to include: physical rehab, occupational rehab and speech/language pathology

• A Beebe primary care physician’s office

• A Beebe Walk-in Care center

The College Park Medical Pavilion, owned and developed by Onix Group of Kennett Square, Pa., will provide office space on the second floor for private physician specialists.

Beebe Medical Center looks forward to inviting people in the community to an Open House Tuesday, Oct. 29, and will be sharing more details about the big event soon.
