The '20s theme is in honor of the Milton Historical Society's current exhibit about Prohibition in Milton. It was the Jazz Age with flappers, bathtub gin, cigarette holders and the Charleston. This fun-filled evening will be the bee’s knees with silent and live auctions, tasty hors d’oeuvres and desserts including King’s Homemade Ice Cream, live music and conviviality.

A cash bar will offer a selection of wine, Dogfish Head beer, and soft drinks. Guests are encouraged to put on their glad rags and come in costume, or just get dolled up 21st century style.

Some of the many items to bid on are Day in the Life of Your Family photo shoot with Maria DeForrest, voted Delaware’s Best Photographer in 2013; a Delaware black-and-white license tag PC 8080; original artwork other noted local artists; golf packages; boat trips on the Broadkill River; decorative items and antiques; a high-flying ride in a 1946 Aeronca Champ airplane; salon services and culinary adventures including learning to make gumbo with Mike Clampitt after hours at Po’ Boys; and a celebration of a special occasion with a ride around town on Milton Fire Department’s 1926 American La France fire truck.

Funds raised at this event go to support the museum’s programs, walking tours, lectures, new exhibitions and a wide variety of educational programs for local children.

Tickets are $20. The auction and party will be held under a huge tent at the corner of Union and Magnolia streets.
