BEST SHOW IN TOWN

We’ve just returned from the annual NYC trip of the University of Delaware’s Osher Institute of Life Long Learning.  What a great opportunity to enjoy world class shows, art, music and dining. With regard to dining, we’re always on the lookout for restaurants that welcome the Whole Food Plant-Based No Oil challenge.  This year we discovered YUVA, a lovely Indian restaurant in Manhattan on E. 58th between 2nd and 3rd Ave.  The chef recommended 3 outstanding dishes right from the menu that met our requirements and tasted superb.

Another favorite place to eat is WHOLE FOODS MARKET at Columbus Circle. Hot and cold tables provide a great variety of VEGAN NO OIL fare pleasing to eye and palate. Among the offerings this week was a bhajia burger made of finely chopped potato, cauliflower, broccoli, onion, spices, and chick pea flour.  We returned several times to savor this spicy burger along with fresh vegetable concoctions and delicious whole grain fruit and nut breads. Then we topped off a satisfying meal with a stroll around the market for a visual treat of creative fruit and vegetable displays—all in all, THE BEST SHOW IN TOWN!
