Bicyclist robbed near Route 1

Delaware State Police say a man used a knife to rob a bicyclist Aug. 20 as he rode near Route 1.

The man was riding at 12:50 a.m. behind WSFS Bank at 19335 Coastal Highway when a black man pushed him off of the bicycle, said Cpl. John Day of the Delaware State Police.

The suspect held a small knife and demanded money; the victim gave him some money and the suspect fled, Day said.

The victim was not hurt.
