Bridgeville women face heroin charges
Two Bridgeville women face drug charges after police conducted a month-long investigation into drug activity at a Bridgeville home.
Delaware State Police, the Sussex County Governor's Task Force and Sussex County Drug Unit searched a home Sept. 23 in the 12000 block of Ryan Lane after investigating illegal drug sales from the home, said Master Cpl. Gary Fournier of the Delaware State Police.
Inside the home, Fournier said, police found 215 bags of heroin weighing about 3.2 grams, 3.7 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Police arrested Shamika T. Clark, 24, and Jennifer L. Frederick, 30 and charged them with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, second-degree conspiracy, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. Clark was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $14,000 secured bond; Frederick was committed in default of $14,800.
Frederick's two children were in the home; they were turned over to relatives, Fournier said.
