Cape baseball drops a heartbreaker to Polytech

The Cape baseball team scattered six hits but could only get one run across the plate as they dropped a heartbreaking 2-1 game to Polytech May 8 at Chris Short Field.

Kai Vitella went yard for the single run in the seventh inning. Hunter Engel and David Kwan each slammed a double in the contest.

The Vikings fall to 7-9 on the season and will take on Smyrna Tuesday, May 13 at home.
