Cape baseball falls to Delmar 4-0, slugs Queen Anne's County 19-9

Delmar pitcher Kevin Trader struck out 14 Cape batters as the Wildcats shut out the Vikings 4-0 April 18 at Delmar.

Diaz Nardo started for Cape and gave up two runs in the third inning. Tyler Clendaniel came on in relief of Nardo in the fifth and yielded single runs in the fifth and sixth innings.

The Vikings managed only 1 hit off Trader.

Cape came back April 19 and defeated Queen Anne's County 19-9 behind a 16-hit assault. Adam Marcinizyn, D.D. Gooch and Tyler Nickerson all hit home runs.

Cape is 5-3 on the season and plays at Lake Forest Tuesday, April 23, before hosting Caesar Rodney Thursday, April 25.
