Cape baseball seniors enjoy first high school win over Dover 6-1

The Cape baseball team beat visiting Dover April 16, 6-1 behind the pitching and hitting of Griffin Kammerer. The Vikings won their fourth straight game, improving to 4-2 on the season. This was the first win over Dover for the graduating class of 2013.

The Vikings were scheduled to play at Delmar April 18. The Wildcats are 5-2 on the season. Kammerer went six innings, yielding a single run while giving up 5 hits. Diaz Nardo came on to pitch to close out the seventh inning.

Kammerer also went 2 for 4 in the game including a double. DD Gooch was 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs including a 2-run go-ahead double in the 4th for the Vikings.

The Cape baseball team beat visiting Dover last Tuesday April 16, 6 to 1 behind the pitching and hitting of Griffin Kammerer. The Vikings won their fourth straight game improving to 4 & 2 on the season.

The was the first win over Dover for the graduating class of 2013.
