Cape boys' lax team dominates Central 17-2

The Cape Henlopen boys' lacrosse team picked up its second win of the season with a 17-2 performance over the Golden Knights March 27 at Legends Stadium. The players have outscored their two opponents by a score of 31-3.

Blake Mann scored five goals and had one assist while Luke Benson tallied three goals and dished off six helpers. Sophomore Michael Hopkins and Nick DiGuglielmo racked up two goals each while Todd Keen, Matt Kane, Justin Lopez, Logan Mathews and Sean Sheehan each had single goals.

Hopkins, Kane and Jeb Monigle each had one assist.

The Vikings had 40 shots on goal while holding the Knights to just five.

Cape goalie Chris Argo stopped three Golden Knights shots in the contest.
