Cape football and cheerleading camp dates announced

Cape Henlopen High School football will hold two football camps and one cheerleading camp this summer.  From 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday to Thursday, July 17 to 19, at the high school there will be a non-contact football camp for boys as well as cheerleading camp for boys and girls ages 7 to 15.  The football camp will be instructed by the high school football coaches, and the varsity cheerleading coaches and squad will instruct the cheer camp.

Camp is designed to give athletes a chance to develop skills and gain knowledge in fundamentals of the sports. The cost of the camp is $30, which includes a T-shirt.

Bill Collick's wing-T football camp at Cape Henlopen High School will be held from  9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday to Thursday, July 23 to 26.  The camp is a non- contact program intended to instruct players on the wing-T fundamentals and offers the opportunity to improve techniques for the upcoming season. Former college coach and current college compliance director Dwayne H. Henry, along with other college and high school coaches, will be instructing the camp.

Cost of the four-day event is $45. The wing-T camp is open to all students entering grades eight through 12 in 2012.  To get information and register, go to
