Cape girls' lacrosse team doubles down Tower Hill 14-7Vikings get ready for another state title run
The Cape girls' lacrosse team doubled down Tower Hill 14-7 May 9 on the fast pitch of Richardson Field in front of a diverse crowd, most cheering on the Hillers' every goal.
Then-undefeated Charter (which lost May 10 to Polytech) caught the attention of Cape as they cheered the opposition. "That’s what I would do," Allie Yeager said with a smile after the game. "Players root for the underdog just like fans; it makes perfect sense to me.”

"We put ourselves in a position with five out-of-state losses, all close games. We just can’t lose another," said Coach P.J. Kesmodel after the game. "We doubled down a pretty good lacrosse team in spite of having 18 turnovers. But we played hard and we played a lot of people.”
Cape was led in scoring by Sarah Tappan with 4, Kat Judge 3, Jordan Brown 2, Lexi Woodruff 1, Tess Bernheimer 1, Alison Palmer 1 and Cailey Thornburg 1.
Cape assists were Yeager with 2, Tappan 2, Woodruff 2 and Joseph 2.
