Cape hockey celebrates 3-peat with banquet

Photo by: Dan Cook The 2013 Cape hockey team celebrated its third straight DIAA State Championship with a banquet at the Lewes Yacht Club Dec. 11. Shown with their end-of-season awards are in back (l-r) Allie Yeager, Ruth Skoglund Most Dedicated Award; Tiara Duffy, team MVP Award; Sam Broadhurst, Offensive MVP Award; Sydney Smyk, Mike Eisenhour Most Dedicated to the Program Award and Tess Bernheimer, Rising Star Award. The Cape Henlopen High School field hockey celebrated its third consecutive state championship with a team banquet Dec. 11 at the Lewes Yacht Club. The Vikings capped their 14-0-1 season with a 1-0 win over Delmar Nov. 16 in the state championship game.
