Cape JROTC cadets attend Leadership Weekend

Cape Henlopen High School JROTC cadets participated in the JROTC Leadership Weekend Camp March 21 and 22 at the Bethany Beach Delaware National Guard Training Site.

Cape’s cadets were joined by cadets from Sussex Central High School. Cadets who earned special recognition include Theresa Tingen from SCHS, who won the Distinguished Cadet Award, and Joel Torres from CHHS, who won the Honor Cadet Award. Emerson Fajardo and Alexandra Atsidis, both from Cape, won the Best PT award. Atsidis also won the award for the Best Squad Drill Leader. Cape Henlopen’s Cadet Ross Hicks won the Best Cadet Cadre, and another one of Cape’s students, Cadet Jake Sirandes, won the Best Knock Out Drill Award.
