Cape soccer scores 4-2 win at St. Thomas More

The Cape soccer team defeated St. Thomas More April 23 on the Ravens' home pitch, 4-2. The Vikings have won four games in a row and improved to 5-2 overall.

The game was tied at one at halftime, both goals scored by Cape, one into their own goal at 28:57 and the other by Shelby Thomas from Joanne Garcia at the 33:33 mark.

Cape dominated possession in the second half, outscoring the Ravens 3-1 on a pair of goals by Amanda Atkinson on assists from Thomas and Garcia. Thomas scored her second goal of the game on an assist from Stephanie Mendez .

Danielle Gallagher scored a second-half goal for St. Thomas More on an assist from Alexa Schrimp.

Cape outshot St. Thomas More 20-5.

Vikings freshman goalie Olivia Baratto had 5 saves in the game while Cali Echeverri had 10 saves for the Ravens.

Cape is scheduled to play to play at 4-2 Milford at 4 p.m., Thursday April 25, and at 2-3 Wilmington Friends at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 27.
