Cape softball shut out by Indian River 6-0

The Cape softball team lost 6-0 at home to Indian River May 9, the second consecutive shutout home loss for the Vikings. Cape also lost to Sussex Central May 8 by the identical 6-0 score.

Rachel Hudson pitched a 3-hit shutout for the Indians while recording 7 strikeouts. Amy Mitchell was 4 for 4 for the Indians.

Mykala Steele pitched a complete game shutout in the Sussex Central win over Cape and hit a home run. Cyndie Givens also hit a home run for the Knights.

Tiara Duffy doubled for Cape.

Cape plays at Woodbridge, 8-4, Tuesday, May 14, then hosts  Delmarva Christian, 2-9, Wednesday, May 15.
