Cape students host field day at Lullaby Learning Center
Cape students from the early education pathway celebrated their hard work with an end-of-the-year Field Day for the children at Lullaby Learning Center.
The Cape students spent the year both in their own classroom and in preschools gaining the education and experience needed to graduate with their early childhood teacher certificates. As part of their out-of-the-classroom experience and preparation for entering the education field, students spent several hours in the Lullaby Learning Center of Lewes observing and interacting with the children.
Lullaby Learning Center offers care and educates children of the community from birth through 5 years, and offers a preschool program in which students prepare for kindergarten.
After several months of observation and lesson planning for the preschool students at Lullaby, Cape students prepared a morning full of fun summer games and treats for an end-of-year event on May 23. Activities included relay and potato sack races, water balloon tosses, bubbles, hula hoops and much more.
Alongside their teacher Linda Marvel, the students provided all the children with field day T-shirts, prizes and awards, all of which were proudly worn by the children throughout the morning. Lullaby students and staff enjoyed the event and thanked their Cape friends for a fun morning.
