Ryan Thornburg got a start and ripped four 3-pointers in the first half to lead all first-half scorers with 12, but he also rolled his ankle in the final minute and was hobbled in the second half of the Cape versus Seaford boys' basketball game Feb. 4.

The Vikings led 31-26 at the half.

Toney Floyd came off the bench not sullen or sad and played the best he has in a month, scoring most down on the inside when the game was on the line after Seaford tied the score at 39 after three periods.

"A great night for a lot of reasons," Re said after the Vikings pulled away with a 23-7 fourth quarter to win 62-46 and improve to 8-7 on the season.

"Ryan needs to shoot and score, and Toney needs to finish. We've been giving Toney too much to do; he is best near the basket. And David [Kwan] did a great job getting us rebounds."

The Vikings got 15 points from Tyreik Burton, and Jon Warren scored 11.

The Blue Jays fell to 5-7 on the season.  Seaford was paced by Jaun'ye Paul with 17 points.

Cape was scheduled to play Dover Thursday,  Feb. 6, then will travel to Sanford for a 1:30 p.m. game Saturday, Feb. 8.

Editor's note: Cape beat Dover 58-53 Thursday, Feb. 6.
