Car overturns on Route 24

Firefighters from Rehoboth and Lewes rescued two adults and an infant from an overturned car Jan. 23 along Route 24.

Firefighters responded to the scene at 5:04 p.m. near the Lewes/Rehoboth Fire Station 3, said Warren Jones, spokesman for the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Co.

The occupants were taken to the hospital; the roadway was cleared after about an hour, Jones said.

Delaware State Police are investigating the cause of the crash, Jones said.
