First in Sussex County set to open in June

Work has begun on the first Chick-fil-A restaurant in Sussex County. At nearly 5,000 square feet, the restaurant is set to be built on a pad site at the northwest corner of the K-Mart parking lot off Route 1. A crew was to start site work Jan. 28. Chick-fil-A has area restaurants in Camden; Dover; Ocean City, Md.; and Salisbury, Md. The restaurant is scheduled to be open in early June.
