Chimes Delaware to hold financial & estate planning seminar Feb. 25

Chimes Delaware, which offers a wide range of services for people with disabilities, is offering a seminar to educate parents and guardians of people with disabilities on financial and estate planning. The event will take place at 6 p.m., Monday, Feb. 25, at Georgia House, 119 Main St., Millsboro.

Participants will be part of a focused discussion with leading experts to learn about providing a secure future for individuals with disabilities.

Planning for the future of a person with special needs takes preparation, research and professional assistance. The objectives of this seminar are to protect the assets of the individual with special needs, provide additional income to allow a better quality of life, prevent the loss of government benefits, and balance the needs of other family members and beneficiaries.

Monty Knittle, CFA, Morgan Stanley has extensive experience in investment and portfolio management and has worked with numerous service providers in Maryland.

Rajiv K. Goel, elder law and estate management attorney, Offit Kurman counsels seniors, people with disabilities and individuals seeking guidance on how to conserve, protect and distribute estate assets.
