Christine M. Kaczmarczyk, credit union CEO
Christine Marie Kaczmarczyk, 73, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 10, 2013. Chris was born in Wilmington Aug. 5, 1939, daughter of the late Raymond and Edna Farnan.
Chris was a shining example of a successful woman in both her personal and professional life. A friend to so many through the years, she enjoyed bowling at Pleasant Hill Lanes, beach time at Angola with family and friends, traveling with her sisters and any other excuse she found to help out and have fun. Without exception, watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren in sports and life was her highlight.
Chris retired from Dexsta Federal Credit Union as CEO in 2005 after 36 years of service. She presided over a tremendous growth period for Dexsta, so proud of her coworkers, associates and the entire credit union network.
Chris was predeceased by her husband, Ray; and her brothers, Leonard, Phillip, Fran, John, Bernie and Bobby.
She is survived by her sons, Ray Kaczmarczyk (Maria), Rick Kaczmarczyk (Hope) and Jeff Kaczmarczyk (Kim); her sisters, Mary Monahan and Pat McLaughlin (Bill); her sisters-in-law, Cele Farnan and Kay Kaczmarczyk; her grandchildren, Raymond (Aubray), Jeffrey, Ricky, Katie, Michael, Kelly, Jenna and Tyler; and her great-grandchildren, Raymond and Carson. Many nieces, nephews and cousins, along with their children, round out her family. So many more friends and neighbors complete Christine's social circle.
