Clyde William Dorrell of Centerville, Tenn., formerly of Georgetown, passed peacefully Oct. 10, 2012, at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.

He was born in Salisbury, Md., July 2, 1931, son of the late James Casper and Martha W. Carver Dorrell. He was preceded in death by his wife Kathryn Geraldine Eye Schirmer Dorrell; stepson Charles Frank Schirmer II; and brothers, George Dorrell, James Dorrell and John (Buddy) Dorrell; and sister Barbara Patrick. He is survived by stepchildren Ronnie Schirmer I of Cape Carteret, N.C., Sue Herr of Springfield, Mo., and Fredrick Schirmer Sr. of Fayetteville, N.C.; and sisters, Peggy Howard of Salisbury, Jenny Lee Cary of Pocomoke, Md., and Francine Williams of Hartley; and brother, Robert (Sparkey) Dorrell of Delmar.

There will be a graveside service held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 3, at Henlopen Memorial Park, Milton.
