The Lewes Flotilla of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary held a Change of Watch and Holiday Social Dec. 8 at the Lewes Yacht Club.

The Change of Watch occurs when the auxiliary commander, vice commander and appointed officers are sworn in to serve for the upcoming year.

Current Commander Steve Smyk elected not to run again for election to concentrate on communications, vessel examinations and other Coast Guard Auxiliary-related interests in the Lewes area.  Pictured are (l-r) outgoing Commander Smyk; newly elected Commander Tim Precht; Lt. Commander Randy Prestion, officer in charge of the Marine Safety Detachment in Lewes; newly elected Vice Commander Tom Mann; 2013 Auxiliarist of the Year Joe Tridente; and Ken Steinmann.
