Community agency to celebrate 48th anniversary Nov. 18 in Dover
First State Community Action Agency Inc. will celebrate 48 years of service to low-income Delawareans with a Dinner & Recognition Ceremony Monday, Nov. 18, at the Dover Downs Hotel and Conference Center in Dover.
The evening will feature magnificent cuisine; live music by Shades of Blue jazz ensemble; a live auction; recognition of community partners, clients and staff; and a prominent and inspiring keynote speaker, Tony Campolo, PhD.
Campolo is the professor emeritus of sociology at Eastern University, a former faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania, and the founder and president of the Evangelical Association for the Promotion of Education. His powerful message of hope, faith, and social justice has inspired millions across the globe.

Organizers invite the community to take part in this special celebration. Cost is $85 per person. Event sponsorships are available, and donations are gladly accepted.
Proceeds of the event will help sustain agency services, helping low-income individuals, families, and communities across Delaware while supporting ongoing efforts to diminish and ultimately erase the effects of poverty in the state.
