A team of County Bank volunteers recently lent a hand at a Sussex County Habitat for Humanity home build in Georgetown. Led by Sussex Habitat’s AmeriCorps members, the team of volunteers insulated the foundation, built the subfloor and also presented a $2,000 donation to Sussex Habitat. County Bank encourages local community service by extending a paid volunteer day to its employees.

Members are dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions. Since 1991, this local affiliate has built 91 homes in Sussex County.
