Couple implores foundation to keep WSCL
My wife and I have been year-round weekend residents of Lewes for almost six years now and plan to retire full-time to Delaware in another few years. We love our time in Lewes and look forward to spending more time here.
One of the many wonderful things about Delaware is the local programming, and in particular the classical music programming on WSCL radio (89.5 FM). We know we’re almost home each week when we start picking up WSCL on the drive. We are devoted listeners to public radio in the Washington, D.C. region and there simply is no classical music programming in the Nation’s Capital that compares to the variety and intelligence of that on WSCL.
As fans of Coastal Concerts, we are particularly pleased with the way that WSCL supports local arts initiatives in Delmarva. WSCL is a unique resource for Delmarva residents interested in the arts.
We strongly encourage the Salisbury University Foundation to continue with locally-sourced programming on WSCL, particularly the classical music programming. WSCL should remain a voice of thoughtful, and locally aware, beauty.
