The D1 Finish Line High School Lacrosse Clinic stopped at Cape June 17 and 18, along with four of the top players in women's college lacrosse over the last two years.

Iliana Sanza, a Maryland player, was a two-time first team All-American defender, a member of the U.S. national team and the IWLCA Defender of the Year in 2013.

Katie Schwarzmann, a former Maryland player, was a two-time Tewaaraton Award winner as the best player in women's lacrosse; the Tewaarton Award is the lacrosse equivalent of football's Heisman Trophy. She was also a two-time ACC Player of the Year and a three-time first-team college All-American.

Kayla Treanor of Syracuse University is a member of the U.S. team, was a first-team All American as a freshman and was Big East Tournament MVP.

Director of Operations Kristy Black  was a member of the Maryland 2010 national championship team and is a personal friend to Cape coach P.J. Kesmodel.

"Our local high school kids got almost individual instruction from some of the top players in the game," said Kesmodel. "There are great opportunities for girls' lacrosse players, and you don't even have to leave town."
