Elementary Division Indoor League Week Two


Week two games opened with the Fireflys jumping off to a big first half lead behind four goals by Maggie Kemp while Cati Gallagher had the only first half goal for the Heros. Kemp’s fifth goal early in the second half proved to be the game winner as the Heros fought back with goals by Gallagher, Josie Peranteau, and Kayla Curran making the final score 5-4.

The Battalions opened with a three-goal lead over the Energizers, on the first half with a pair of goals by Hailey Sidibe and a solo goal by Mia Carulli. The second-half was all Battalions with goals by Carulli, Alex Rowe, Elizabeth Moore, and Samie Jacona.

The Coasters and the Defenders were tied at the end of the first half, 2-2, with Taylor Smith scoring for the Coasters and Paige Ludwicki getting the goals for the Defenders. Ludwicki’s goal early in the second half earned the Defenders the 3-2 victory.

In the final game of the afternoon, the Grasshoppers opened a 5-1 lead over the Alphacats behind a trio of goals by Alex Chiartas and a pair of goals by Jarad Kay. Rylee Pettyjohn had the solo goal for the Alphacats. The second half was more of the same with Kay scoring two more goals and Chiartas getting the final goal to make the score 8-1.
