Results from Monday, June 23

 

The Coyotes had a feast against the Cougars and came away with a 9-0 win. Scoring in the game for the Coyotes: McKenna Boyle (2), Sommer Dorman (3), Cadence McMahon (1), Josie Peranteau (2) and Lori Sapp (1).

The second game in the Division, on Monday, was a battle between the Jaguars and the Rattlers with the Jags coming out on top by a final of 3-1. Aubrie Myers, Mackinzie Brown, and Colin Kay did the scoring for the Jaguars while Ella Ruppert had the goal for the Rattlers.

 

On Wednesday, June 25, The Rattlers finally got past the Scorpions, 1-0, on a second half goal by Puja Jani at the 15:00 minute mark.

The Coyotes continued their scoring streak with a 7-0 win over the Jaguars getting goals from McKenna Boyle (4) and Sommer Dorman (3).

 

Next Monday the Scorpions vs the Jaguars at 5:45 on the Bermuda at Cape Henlopen HS followed by the Rattlers and the Cougars at 6:30.

In the Senior Division opening game on Wednesday, June 25, the Warriors tightened down their defense and came away with a 2-0 victory over the Surfers. Amanda Sponaugle and Lola Messick had the goals for the Warriors.

The second game of the evening was a back and forth contest that finally ended in a tie between the Seahawks and the Pirates, 3-3. Jenna Steel opened the scoring for the Pirates at 11:49 in the first half but Kelly Smith tied the game for the Seahawks with her goal at 7:12. Katie Fuhr game the Seahawks the lead at 15:31 in the second half but Macy Long scored for the Pirates at 14:30. Amanda Hennen then game the Seahawks their last lead of the night with her goal at 11:29. Maci Long came through less than a minute later to gain the tie for the Pirates with her second goal of the night.

On Monday the Surfers take on the Pirates at 5:45 followed by the Warriors and the Windriders at 6:45 on the turf at Cape Henlopen HS.
