The final night of the Elementary Division started with the Jaguars defeating the Rattlers by a final of 5-3. Colin Kay Madison Costello and Cassidy Schell (2) got the goals for the Jaguars while Puja Jani had the goal for the Rattlers. Mackenzie Brown helped out a short handed Rattler team by scoring the other two goals for the Rattlers while scoring once for the Jaguars.

In the second game of the division, it was an all Coyote night with a final of 5-0 over the Cougars. McKenna Boyle (2), Sommer Dorman, Lilly McAroy and Josie Peranteau had the Coyote goals.

On Monday, July 14 the gold medals will be presented to the Scorpions before the elementary division plays their final all-inclusive turf game. Game time is 5:35 on the turf at Cape Henlopen HS.

 

 

In the Senior Division the short-handed Warriors suffered their first defeat of the season when the Pirates mounted a strong offensive effort in the second half to take the win by a final of 4-1. Samie Jacona had given the Warriors the lead with her goal at 6:52 in the opening half. Sydney Ostroski (2), Mariko Daisey, and Haley Craig had the goals for the Pirates.

The Seahawks earned a spot in the championship game against the Warriors with a 4-2 win over the pesky Windriders. The Windriders took a 2-1 lead into halftime on goals by Leah Smyk and Madi Irwin. Carlyn Talerico had the goal for the Seahawks. The second half was all Seahawks with a pair of goals by Kelly Smith and a solo effort by Anna Stancofski.

 

The championship game between the Warriors and the Seahawks will follow the Elementary Division game with a game time of approximately 6:45 on Monday, July 14, on the turf at Cape Henlopen HS.
