Delaware Tech highlights bachelor’s degree options at Connected Degree Day Feb. 13

Feb 05, 2013

Students who are interested in finding out how they can obtain an associate degree and work toward a bachelor's degree at the same time, or earn a bachelor's degree after graduating from Delaware Tech without ever leaving Sussex County, are invited to attend Connected Degree Day from noon to 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 13, in the Student Services Center at the Owens Campus in Georgetown.

The event highlights the established partnerships Delaware Technical Community College has with Wilmington University, University of Delaware and Delaware State University. For more than 20 years, the higher education partnerships have offered clear and economical pathways for Delaware Tech graduates to continue their education through a connected degree. With a connected degree, Delaware Tech students graduate with an associate degree, then apply to a partner institution and transfer in as a junior. All three partner institutions offer classes on the Owens Campus.

Representatives from each of the partner institutions and Delaware Technical Community College will be on hand to provide information about the programs available, and the timelines and requirements to fulfill each program.

For more information about Delaware Technical Community College’s connected degrees, which include other regional colleges and universities, go to www.dtcc.edu/connecteddegree.
