Birding along the Delaware Bayshore; facts about the state's vital wetlands; conservation classics such as “Lizards, Turtles and Snakes, Oh My!”; and more fun, interesting and educational videos can be found on the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control’s YouTube channel, Delaware DNREC.

Last year, more than 13,000 viewers from as far away as India and Japan visited Delaware DNREC, which offers more than 50 videos, taking viewers from the unique steam car collection at Auburn Heights Preserve to the trails and pathways of Cape Henlopen State Park, and from the Delaware Bayshore to the Chesapeake Bay Watershed and many of the First State’s great outdoors places in between. Most of these videos are written and produced in-house by the DNREC Office of Public Affairs.

“If you haven’t explored Delaware DNREC, particularly of late, there’s news and videos to interest and inform a wide audience, from teachers and science students to historians and ecotourists to all kinds of outdoor enthusiasts,” said Carol Anders Riggs, chief of DNREC Public Affairs.

A few recommended views include "Wetlands 101," "Make-A-Splash," "The Old Country Church: Bethesda," "Auburn Heights: The Collection" and "Delaware’s Bald Eagles."

Other video topics include trout stocking, fishing reports, trails and pathways, beach replenishment, water quality and more.
