"Bells on the Hill" is a heartwarming documentary that tells the story of the birth, growth and legacy of the Little Italy neighborhood of Wilmington. Beginning with the early 20th century accounts of Italians who migrated to Wilmington, this documentary follows the founding of St. Anthony of Padua Parish and development of the surrounding community, which still thrives today. Wilmington’s Little Italy is home to the annual St. Anthony’s Italian Festival, which takes place during eight days in June and draws thousands of people to the neighborhood. Narrated by Wilmington native Gus Parodi, "Bells on the Hill" is a memorial to this proud community.

The film was written, directed and produced by Wilmington natives Parodi and Matt Swift. Attendees can meet and talk with these first-time filmmakers who will lead a discussion following the screening.

The Rehoboth Beach Film Society is funded, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency dedicated to nurturing and supporting the arts in Delaware, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.
