Delaware State Police officers and Division of Alcohol & Tobacco Enforcement agents working in the Rehoboth Beach area charged a Wilmington man and 12 others after responding to a loud party in Canal Landing, just outside Rehoboth Beach, July 18.

Police arrived at 70 Canal Landing Court about 2 a.m., after receiving a report of a loud party with underage drinking.  Troopers saw several groups of young people walking away from the area, some of whom were carrying alcoholic beverages.  Contact was made with Brian Bowersock, 20, of Wilmington, host of the party with a number of young people under 18 years of age in attendance while alcohol was being consumed on the premises.

Agents issued a criminal summons to Bowersock for providing alcohol to a minor and underage consumption of alcohol.  Agents arrested 12 other people, 15 to 19 years old, for underage drinking. Juveniles who were arrested were released to the custody of parents or guardians.

Ms. Donnelly and Mr. Falkenstein it is not the ATF.  It is the Delaware Alcohol and Tobacco Enforcement. They are doing their job as officers of the law.
