Life is a peach Friday, July 25 when the Milton Farmers Market will move its fourth annual Peach Festival to the events field at Dogfish Head Brewery on Village Center Drive in Milton. Keeping the regular Friday market hours of 3 to 6 p.m., at this venue, MFM will sell cups of Dogfish Head’s trademark peach beer, Festina Peche, from kegs at the DFH canopy to market patrons age 21 and over.

Throughout the market, over 20 sellers will incorporate peaches into their offerings, starting with just-picked succulent peaches at T.S. Smith Farm’s tent, to locally made tart and sweet peach preserves from Backyard Jams, homemade just-churned peach ice cream from Rustic Acres’ Rehoboth Dairy, peach ice cones from Kona Ice, plus peach dog biscuits from Tumbleweed & Eddies. Over at Abbott’s Grill’s tent, patrons can select platters of chicken or ribs, each smothered in slow-cooked peach barbecue sauce made from fresh local peaches.

Milton Farmers Market shoppers can also select tangy peach salsa, pickled peaches, iced peach cupcakes, flaky peach pies, and other baked goodies bursting with the flavor of the month.

Miltonian master baker Pat Grieninger of Almost Home Caterers will bring her specialty peach pound cake to the July 25 event to be raffled as a fundraiser for the Milton Farmers Market. Stop by the Market Manager’s tent for tickets at $1 each or six for $5. Winner need not be present at market’s close when the name is selected.

There is always live and lively music at the Milton Farmers Market, and on July 25, Tri-Polar Band takes the stage with T.S. Smith Farm’s Charlie Smith in the lead. Great tunes and good times are guaranteed, so visitors are invited to settle in with a cool beverage to enjoy the sounds. This may be the perfect time to sample the peach-infused iced tea, iced coffee, or other beverages sold across the market; or the spicy gumbo from Po’ Boys Creole and Fresh Catch.

The Milton Farmers Market at Dogfish Head Brewery offers everything needed for fresh and local selections for table, fridge or pantry, including wild-caught Alaskan fish, all-natural meats and poultry, farm-fresh eggs, dairy-fresh milk, hydroponic greens and a variety of locally grown produce, plus specialty items and flowering planters. A parking lot adjoins the grounds, and on-street parking is available on Village Center Drive.
