Elks and Scouts celebrate old glory

The Cape Henlopen Elks presented a Flag Day and Americanism Award Ceremony June 11 at the lodge west of Lewes.

The annual event gives a history of the country's various flags through the years with an explanation of the 13 folds in the classic triangle.  Scout Troop 2540 presented the flags and folded the stars and stripes.

The Americanism Essay award winners, Ria Kapuria, Dylan Rezac and Emily Monigle, were presented with gift cards and certificates.
